8000 Boko Haram individuals willfully surrender – Military says


No less than 8000 Boko Haram individuals have willfully surrendered to the "Operation Safe Corridor'' keep running by the Nigerian Army in the North-East. This is as indicated by the Director of Defense Information, Brig.- Gen. Rabe Abubakar, who unveiled this at an address sorted out by the FCT Correspondents' Chapel of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ). 


Abubakar at the address said the surrendered terrorists were being kept at a camp in Gombe where they would be "deradicalised'' by the
military. He included that more than 10,000 Boko Haram hostages had been protected by the military and that some of them were brought together with their families while others were taken to Internally Displaced Person's (IDP) camps. He unveiled that the military would soon dispatch "Operation Safe Corridor'' to address the danger of herders the nation over.
