Police capture suspected pipeline vandal, recuperate truck

The Nigeria Police on Sunday captured a suspected pipeline vandal and grabbed a petrol tanker passing on 13, 800 liters of diesel in Aninri Local Government zone of Enugu State.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Ebere Amaraizu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu that the suspect was captured after a tip-off.

As indicated by him the police additionally recuperated pipeline penetrating hardware, two pumping machines, pipeline sealants, a creating set and a few spanners.


"The suspect close by others now everywhere had professedly raged Umurah Ndeaboh shrub on Dec. 31 at around 12 midnight in Aninri Local Government Area with their pipeline boring gear.

"With a Leyland 13,800-liter truck with enlistment number XF 312 PHC at a long separation out of the vandalized territory; they began siphoning the item (diesel) before police agents following up on a tip surrounded them."

He said that the police were on the trail of different suspects who got away and guaranteed that every one of those included would be arraigned.
