43 Terrorists Sentenced To Death


A Somalia court on Saturday sentenced 43 Islamist terrorists to death in the north-eastern city of Garowe in Puntland district for their part in late assaults on the locale.


Abdullahi Hersi Eed, Puntland's Regional Attorney General, said the court sentenced
the aggressors to death for their part in the assault, which left 24 troopers dead and another 73 injured in the district.

The activists were individuals from al-Shabaab, an association of Sunni radicals that has been battling for the mastery of Somalia for a considerable length of time, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

The Islamist agitators need to set up a religious government in the nation.

"The majority of the litigants conceded their blame, demanding they joined in the late assaults," Hersi Eed said.

The court postponed the hearings of two aggressors, who were under 16 years of age.
