Senate President Saraki Explains How His Kwara Home Was Robbed, N12m Stolen

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Sunday, June 5, unveiled that his Ilorin, Kwara state was burglarized and N12 million was trucked away.

He said the theft happened two weeks back
at the regulatory quarters of the house, including that the matter has been accounted for to the police.

He put forth this known in an announcement marked by his representative, Yusuph Olaniyonu.

The administrator released a report distributed by Sahara Reporters that his local assistants were in charge of the robbery, saying the culprits are yet to be distinguished. He likewise cleared up that the cash stolen was N12 million and not N300 million.

"The obscure persons softened into the safe up the Administrative Office and stole the N12 million. The episode had following been accounted for to the police and the Kwara State Police summon are examining the matter with a perspective to nail the offenders.

"There is thusly no truth in the case by SaharaReporters that the cash kept running into many millions, that it was in outside money or that the episode happened in Dr. Saraki's room. The sum was just in Naira. Likewise, the cash has nothing to do with Kwara State Government," the announcement said.

It is misty why Saraki, who is at present confronting trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) for false resource statement, kept that measure of money at home.
