The Benin Traditional Council has educated occupants not to cook with flame on Sunday, June 5, as a feature of exercises for continuation of the 15 days memorial service ceremonies for late Monarch, Oba Erediauwa.
The direction is contained in an
announcement issued by the Secretary to the Benin Traditional Council, Mr Frank Irabor, made accessible on Friday in Benin.
Irabor expressed that Sunday would be the day of Edenagberen-Mwiwu in the illustrious burial service ceremonies program and all things considered, there would be no cooking with flame, as per Benin traditions and convention.
He then approached Benin indigenes and non-indigenes in the kingdom to watch the Igberimwin rites.
