*Extends resumption for 2015/2016 Academic Session to June 1 Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State and Visitor to the Lagos State University, LASU, Ojo, has affirmed the changed Retirement Age for the educating and non-showing staff of the foundation.
The college in a discharge on Monday, referenced LASU/CIPPR/1676, said: "The new Section: 42 [6] of the Lagos State
University [Amendment] Law 2016 is as per the following: Retirement Age: 42 [I] as from the beginning of this Law, the resigning age for Academic Staff in the Professorial Cadre might be 70 years; Academic Staff (not in Professorial Cadre) should resign at 65 years; and Non-Academic Staff might too resign at 65 years.
This is even as the organization on Monday, extended its resumption date to Wednesday, June 1, 2016. The announcement uncovered that the Vice Chancellor, Prof. 'Lanre Fagbohun, for the University Senate gave an official endorsement to the resumption date of the Full-Time college understudies of the University.
The announcement read: "In perspective of this improvement, the new resumption date for the understudies is currently Wednesday, June 1, 2016, for the Second Semester, 2015/2016 Academic Session. "The augmentation got to be important because of the different redesign works continuous in the University Campus and readiness for the prospective twentieth Convocation Ceremonies."
